The list price of each charger includes a solar panel and a battery that comes with the charger. Fi-Shock SS-440 - Low impedance, Uses Fi-Shock 4-volt battery (included) Fi-Shock's weatherproof and portable SS-440 employs an impact-resistant solar panel originally designed for military use together with a 4-volt battery and low impedance technology. This charger is suited to providing low-key protection for summer gardens. However, its shock (maximum power 0.14 joules) is on the light side, so it is not likely to be effective where deer are numerous or where extremely attractive crops like apples or grapes are present. The SS-440 comes with instructions and a limited two-year warranty. A 4-volt battery is included. As indicated below, replacement batteries and a 4-volt battery charger can be purchased separately. Parker-McCrory Solar Pak 6 - Low impedance, UL-listed, Uses Parmak 6-volt battery (included) Parmak’s low impedance 1.4 joule Solar Pak 6 is fully weatherproof and portable. The solar equivalent of Parmak’s popular DF-LI-UO, the charger comes built into a metal case that holds a sealed, rechargeable 6-volt solar battery, so that both the charger and its battery can be carried as a unit. Like the DF-LI-UO, the Solar Pak 6 is strong enough to power a long baited deer fence with a light weed burden. Boasting ten times the shocking power of the SS-440 above, the Solar Pak 6 will operate for up to 21 days in total darkness. The unit comes with instructions and a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Parmak Solar Pak 12 (Model MAG 12 SP) - Low Impedance Electric Fence Charger, UL Listed With 3 stored joules, this is Parmak's most powerful solar-powered electric fence charger. Comparable to the Magnum 12 U.O., it is fully weatherproof, portable, and comes in a case bearing a lifetime manufacturer's guarantee against rust. A good choice for powering electric fences that enclose large pastures for horses and other livestock, the Solar Pak 12 comes with a large state-of-the-art solar panel with superior charging power. Its intermediate power source is a 12-volt rechargeable battery placed inside the case. This charger, which is capable of dealing with moderate to heavy weed burdens (equivalent to a 100 ohm path to the ground) comes with instructions and a two-year manufacturer's warranty against defects and lightning damage. A performance meter on the charger's face indicates whether the charger and fence are operating properly. Solar panel and 12-volt gel battery included.
