Catalog > Electric Fence Conductors > Aluminum and Steel Electric Fence Wire Aluminum Electric Fence Wire
Aluminum electric fence wire is an ideal conductor, even though it is not so visible as the poly-product conductors and cannot be wound up and used again. In general, it is suited to permanent fencing–including baited garden deer fences that can be left up year-round–and also to situations where yearly re-purchase of new wire is acceptable. We offer various lengths and gauges. The heaviest, 12.5 gauge, is suited to laying down along the bottom of a winter deer fence and connecting to the fence charger’s ground terminal in order to provide good winter grounding near the animal’s point of contact with the fence. For those wishing heavy steel galvanized wire (class III zinc) that really holds up well, we also offer 12.5 gauge high tensile electric fence wire (item 02-07HT below).
Steel (High-Tensile) Electric Fence Wire The high-quality Class III galvanized electric fence wires listed below (200,000 psi strength) have a well-deserved reputation for longevity. Suitable for any electric deer fence, they are an essential component of high-tensile fence.
