Catalog> > Electric Fence Insulators > Studded Steel T-Posts 1" Insulator for wire, polywire, polyrope About Studded Steel T-Post Insulators: The insulators in this section will fit both 1.25 and 1.33 inch T-posts. Most of these insulators are designed to fit around and grasp the cross-section of the T-post. Corner knobs can be used to string wire, polywire, and polyrope from T-posts at fence bends and corners. Equivalent products are not needed for polytape, because the polytape insulators (products 7-28 through 7-30) hold the tape so securely that they can be used to navigate sharp turns and corners. The Safety Top’R, which can accomodate all conductors except polytape over 1.5" wide, fits over the top of the T-post. One-Inch Insulator for Wire, Polywire, and Polyrope Holds the conductor one inch out from the T-post. Available in yellow or black. Two-Inch Insulator for Wire, Polywire, and Polyrope Holds the conductor two inches out from the T-post. Available in yellow. Back Side Three-Inch Insulator for Wire, Polywire, and Polyrope Attaches to the back side of a T-post and holds the conductor 3 inches out from the post. Available in yellow or black. Five-Inch Insulator for Wire, Polywire, and Polyrope Holds the conductor five inches out from the T-post. Available in yellow or black. Corner Knob Insulators for Wire, Polywire, and Polyrope The small holding arms of the insulators for wire, polywire, or polyrope (products 07-22 thru 07-27) are not well-suited to securing conductors where the fence is going around bends or corners. Two good alternatives for this purpose are Dare's heavy-duty black polyethylene corner knob, and extra heavy-duty "Double U" end and corner insulator. Both will hold these conductors securely, and both can themselves be secured to a T-post with wire or synthetic twine. In addition, the Double-U end and corner insulator is suitable for high-tensile use and can withstand extremely low temperatures such as those found in Alaska. Pinlock Insulators for Wire and Polywire In ordinary situations, where the fence line is not going around a sharp bend or corner, the small holding arms of the insulators for wire, polywire, or polyrope (products 07-07 thru 07-12) can hold wire or polywire reasonably well. To hold these conductors really securely, however, it is better to use a pinlock insulator. The pinlock insulator offered here attaches to T-posts weighing 1.25 and 1.33 pounds per foot, can also be nailed onto wood posts, and is suitable for high-tensile use, admits the wire or polywire into a slot, and then holds it securely by means of a removable pin. Safety Top'r Insulator for all Conductors but Extra-Wide Polytape Designed to fit over the tops of steel T-posts, this insulator can handle all conductors except for polytape over 1.5 inches wide. Available in yellow and black. Insulator for Polytape 0.5" To 1.5" Wide Holds the tape securely; can be used to navigate fence bends and corners. Available in yellow, black, or white. |
