Plastic Step-in Posts and Pegs These temporary posts made of UV-resistant polyolefin provide good support for most conductors (wire, polywire, and polytape up to 1.5" wide). Product 09-14 also supports polyrope. All these posts tend to sway in response to any significant load, and so they need to be staked down with pegs (product 09-105) wherever the fence bends or goes around corners. These posts have 9 inches or so below the step-in point, leaving about 39 inches, 51 inches, or 55 inches above ground when they are in place. They require no separate insulators. The longer posts are white or green, while the shorter ones are available in black, white, or yellow. The longest post we offer (see products 09-14 and 09-14A) has no stirrup and looks very much like products 09-11, 09-12, and 09-13 above. This tough 64-inch post carries 8 holders for conductors, and when in place leaves 55 inches above the ground. |
